The YMCA’s of Southern NJ needed to release their already delayed 2019 Annual Report just as COVID-19 hit. In the midst of staff furloughs and limited operations, the task felt formidable and quickly transitioned to an impact statement.
Despite all of these challenges, there were some positives to share. The YMCA had become a refuge during quarantine. They provided childcare to frontline workers, remote training for their swim athletes, health services for the elderly… As such, the report needed to show the essential services that YMCAs provide in the midst of difficult times.
Using the established brand guidelines, we used striking color palette and original photography of actual YMCA members to convey that message.
